Site mode
Take the public site down for maintenance, put up a coming-soon screen, or announce a window in advance. The API holds the mode, so every visitor gets the same answer — usually within 15 seconds of saving. Log in, this room, the status page and the OBS overlays keep working while the rest of the site is closed.
Reading the current mode…
Leave the start empty to begin the moment you save, and the end empty to stay on until you switch back to Live. Times are stored in UTC and shown to each visitor in their own timezone, so an end time is the same moment for everyone. A coming-soon screen with an end time counts down to launch and lets itself back in; with no end time it stays up until you change it.
