TRUST & SAFETY
Privacy policy.
What CP Elora stores, why we store it, and how to get it removed. This policy covers the CP Elora website, the CP Elora API and the chat service.
Last updated 30 October 2026
What we collect
- Account details: username, email address, a salted password hash, account role and status, and when the account was created.
- Channel details: display name, title, category, bio, avatar and offline image, emotes, panels, stream key, live status, supporter count and viewer counts.
- Viewing activity: viewing heartbeats used for channel points and drops, plus aggregated watch time for creator analytics. Heartbeats record the channel, the account and a timestamp.
- Chat and moderation: chat messages, chat tickets, role badges, bans, timeouts, reports you submit and their review status.
- Technical data: the IP address used for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and standard server log entries. IP addresses are used transiently and are not sold or used for advertising.
CP Elora does not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the video player library from jsDelivr, which means those providers receive the usual request information (including your IP address) when a page loads.
Why we use it
- To create and secure accounts, sign you in and keep sessions working.
- To run your channel, show it to viewers and deliver chat in real time.
- To pay out channel points, track drops and produce creator analytics.
- To moderate chat, review reports and keep people safe.
- To prevent abuse such as brute-force sign-in attempts, spam and fraudulent reports.
Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you (running your account and channel), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service reliability) and consent where we specifically ask for it.
Where data is stored
Account and channel data is stored in the CP Elora API's data directory on the hosting server, in JSON files protected from public access. Chat history is stored by the chat service on the same server. Media you upload as an avatar, offline image or emote is stored as part of your channel record and served to anyone viewing your channel.
How long we keep it
- Account and channel records: until you delete your account or ask us to remove them.
- Chat history: the most recent messages per channel, kept for community continuity and moderation.
- Moderation records: kept while they are relevant to safety decisions, including after a ban expires.
- Reports: kept until the report and any appeal are resolved, then for as long as needed to show a pattern of abuse.
- Rate-limit counters and chat tickets: short-lived and cleared automatically.
Cookies and local storage
CP Elora uses a session cookie for the site and your sign-in, and browser local storage for your API session token and interface preferences such as whether badges are shown. We do not use advertising cookies. Clearing local storage signs you out of the chat and creator tools on that browser.
Who can see what
Your username, display name, bio, avatar and channel details are public. Your email address is visible only to you and to site administrators who need it for support. Chat is visible to anyone in the channel. Reports you submit are visible to the channel owner and site moderators, along with your username.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correction of anything wrong, deletion of your account, or restriction of processing. Email support@cpelora.com from the address on your account. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Account deletion removes your account, channel, follows and channel points. Chat messages you posted may remain in channel history until removed by a moderator.
Children
CP Elora is not intended for anyone under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13 we will close it and delete the associated data.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will post the new version here and update the date above. Questions: support@cpelora.com.
