02 / CP Elora support model

Boosts, not subscriptions

Give support a name and feel that belong to CP Elora, instead of copying the usual “subscribe” language.

How it could work

One word, a few clear choices

  • Quick Boost: a one-off contribution to support a creator.
  • Boost a Moment: support a creator after a highlight or community milestone.
  • Monthly Boost: an optional recurring supporter plan, only if you choose to offer recurring billing.
  • Boost perks: optional creator-defined perks, clearly listed before payment—never imply a payment guarantees visibility.

Keep the terminology consistent across channel pages, account settings, receipts and cancellation screens. Make it obvious whether a Boost is one-off or recurring.

Trust comes first

Make support transparent

  • Show the amount, currency and whether it repeats before checkout.
  • Let viewers manage or cancel recurring Boosts easily.
  • Explain fees, creator payout timing, refunds and charge disputes.
  • Protect minors and comply with payment-provider rules and local law.
  • Never store raw card details yourself; use a reputable payment provider.
“Boosts” is a product naming idea, not a payment feature that exists yet. Before building it, decide the business model, creator share, platform fee, tax handling, refunds and whether Boosts grant perks.
03 / Admin

A real admin panel, not just a hidden link

Separate site administration from channel-owner moderation. Enforce permissions on every server endpoint.

Admin areas

  • Overview: active viewers, service health, recent errors and data/disk status.
  • Users: search accounts, suspend or restore access, force sign-out and review account history.
  • Safety: report queue, moderation audit log and abuse controls.
  • Channels: owner, channel status, featured placement and policy actions.
  • Operations: API/chat/gateway/HLS health checks, backups and maintenance notices.
  • Settings: feature flags, rate limits and notification templates.

Destructive actions should require confirmation, record an audit event and be reversible where practical.

Example server-only environment settings

Names to consider, not a drop-in config until authentication is implemented.

# Admin bootstrap — server only ADMIN_BOOTSTRAP_EMAIL=admin@example.com ADMIN_BOOTSTRAP_PASSWORD_HASH= SESSION_SECRET=replace_with_long_random_secret ADMIN_MFA_REQUIRED=true # Operational safeguards ADMIN_LOGIN_RATE_LIMIT=5 ADMIN_SESSION_TTL_MINUTES=30 AUDIT_LOG_RETENTION_DAYS=180
Do not store a plain-text admin password in .env. Prefer a one-time bootstrap secret, hash the password with Argon2id/bcrypt, then remove the bootstrap secret. Keep .env outside the public web root, restrict file permissions, never commit it, and use MFA.
